Hi guys, all was working smoothly, until i loaded an updated language file in .xml format, i have done the same thing about 20 times every time the language file some of my board users are translating is updated.

But now that i have cmps installed, something happened. I got all these strange letters on my cmps page & cmps admin panel, VB forum & VB admin panel is still all ok.

When i change back to english language file, all is ok again pm cmps page, but no the cmps admin panel.

But downgrading to an older translated language file does not help either. Strange eh? Any ideas?

Here´s the site. (http://forum.hitechplace.com/index.php)
The strange letters dont fit in, you should be seeing all the normal letters, finnish language has no strange letters really, just the spoken language might be strange to you ;)

Are you sure they wrote the lanugage pack correctly? I have no idea why this would happen...

Yeah, its about the 10th version of the same language pack, and reverting back to the 20.6.2004 language file that was all ok, did not help at all.

I was 100% sure gong back to an older, used .xml would cure it, but no.

And that same new language packthat caused this, is installed in the translating forum on another url, and its working ok there, no cmps installed there though.

Brian, reverting back to a really old language pack did the trick, the cmps index is all ok now. But this raises the bar on future language updates on my site :(

Can you attach one of the language packs that you were having a problem with here so I can test it out on my localhost?
