Downloads/files?

Any plans to add download support to this, for site downloads, etc? I run a gaming site and am always offering up patches, drivers, etc.

I use the free vb Links&Files directory hack right now but it has a number of serious shortcomings. I would buy this hack in a heartbeat if it also offered file download support. I can't imagine it'd be much of a strech to add it in.

Is this still in the pipeline for the near future (within a few months)? Before I start adding all of my downloads to the links tree I figured I'd ask first. ;)
