How are sticky threads sorted?

In a links list, if I want to make all our advertisers sticky (and thereby sell 'premium links listing' as an added benefit of advertising), are the sticky links sorted alphabetically? Ideally this would be the case.

I would also be interested to know if sticky links are a feature of the links directory. This is not shown in the demo.

Furthermore, is there a way to use a different color for alt1 and alt2 for sticky links. I.e. use a yellow background instead of a blue background to promote advertisers links.

I have not found a clear answer or solution to this in the forums.

Yes, sticky links are a feature. They work basically the same as sticky threads with vBulletin (though there is not an option to show stickies on all pages like vB).
Yes, you could modify the template to show sticky threads in a different background.
