Just upgraded to 3.03 too, but noticed one strange thing. When the board is turned OFF, admin can see the forums, but not the VBA main page. On the forums page, admin gets the usual *board currently turned off* top and bottom warning banner, but the main VBA front page just shows the same vB "closed for now..." message box as any other user would see.

P.S. I thinnk this is my first post, so I better throw in a big Thank You for this script. Well done! :)

No idea what happened. Before having to go through the file editing process all over, I just hit the vba_cmps.install script one more time, just for the hell of it. Checked the main page and now everything is back to normal for admin viewing. Weird. Maybe I hallucinated that first upgrade. :D

That may be a cookie issue, as it sounds like you were logged in on the forums, but not on the homepage. ;)

I think you're right, Brian. Wouldn't be the first time Firefox (Mozilla) hiccuped like that. With all the trash overpowhelming our browsers these days, I should know by now that doing a simple refresh or clearing the cache no longer works - you have to reformat to get rid of those cookies. It was okay to call them cookies a few years back. They've evolved into ticks! ;)

Re-apply the file changes to the 3.0.3 files, and then once you've ugraded vBulletin, upload the advindex_install.php file to your Admin CP directory and choose the option to install only the templates. That's it. :)

security fixes.
Were there? I may have missed that part, but I thought the security fixes were in 3.0.2, and 3.0.3 was just to fix the bugs that arose in 3.0.2...

From Vbulletin.com

vBulletin 3.0.3

Hot on the heels of vBulletin 3.0.2, we have decided to release vBulletin 3.0.3. We have cleaned out the bug tracker of all important bugs and felt that you would benefit from having the fixes for these issues as soon as we had put them in place.

Additionally, a problem related to sending email has been identified with vBulletin 3.0.2 running with PHP as an Apache module, related to PHP include paths when in 'shutdown function' mode. The problem is inconsistent and has required a workaround from us to force proper functionality. This only affects those who use the mail queue system.

If you would rather not upgrade, but simply wish to fix the email/Apache problem, you can simply overwrite the includes/functions.php and includes/mail.php files on your server with the new ones from the members' area zip file.

UPGRADE NOTE:
If you have not yet upgraded to vBulletin 3.0.2, you will need to rebuild thumbnails from Update Counters after your upgrade is complete. This will get your thumbnails moved from the database to the filesystem. Pre-existing thumbnails will be broken until you do.
Those who already rebuilt their thumbnails following their upgrade to 3.0.2 need not repeat this step.
