View Full Version : Path to Custom Page is not valid error when it is valid!

Guys,

I tried to add a custom page acc to the book.

I Click on Add page, HTML page, under CMPS control panel

Fill in the following :
page title - test
page identifier - test
display order - 1
meta keywords - test
meta desc - test
parent page - homepage [as i want ti to appear on home page]

page active - yes

path to file it says isnt valid /public_html/mysitename/the_folder_the_file_is_in/test.htm
also tried
/mysitename/the_folder_the_file_is_in/test.htm - where level above is VBuletin forum install location.

Error says path to my test.htm it isnt valid but is it!!! pls help add customcontent as the manual pages are rubbish and ive been asking tihs how to in another thread for weeks....please help!!!

I got this a few times, and the reason that I was getting an invalid file was because I had a space. I too knew that the path was valid and was pulling my hair out but what I had done is I copied the path and pasted it to the page setup screen, I guess I copied a space too. It was such a stupid little thing but gave me a huge headache. Don't know if this is your problem but worth trying until you can get some proper support? Good luck

Hi there - yes, i tried that already and I manually entered the path into to make sure it is correct and no spaces....still not hacving it !:confused:

It would have been /home/login/public_html/etc/etc/etc/etc
