Hi, i have CMPS as my main index.php page... everything so far seems to work perfectly fine, but recently i encountered a problem, and that is that when i create a custom usergroup... (in this case i'm trying to make some elite moderators with all type of permission) the problem is that they always get the following message

member, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Log Out Home

they can view everything, moderate everything and stuff. The only problem is that they just cannot see the index.php page... does anyone knows how to fix this problem?

i know the original index.php files has more lines that the cmps_index.php file...

can someone help me with this issue?

each CMPS page has permissions... have you verified that this usergroup has permission to view your CMPS page?

hehehe... you're welcome polo

my first clue would have been the "sufficient privileges" message, but hey... I know how these things can be :)

I am still at a wall here, with this same issue. All users are checked in vBa page edit for default/homepage, and I can find no other permission options pertaining to vBa.

It would pull up fine before, and I have not changed a thing. That's what gets me.

Do you have your vBulletin permissions set to allow users to view your forums?

Brian, sorry for the late response, and thank you for being so devoted to fixing issues. ;>

Yes, I do have the vBull core set to allow. They are currently active, and noone has posted any new known issues. Let me explain my install, see if it opens doors.

- Server move, so I first started the new server with a direct copy of both public html root(RC3), and db copy. Made sure everything worked, and swapped NS. Smooth as butter.
- Confident, I install vBadvanced, knowing it works on a dev directory with same install of RC3. Small hang-ups with install, so I look for help here, and find it in the means of an updated core of vBull.
- I remove vBa, and manualy check its removal. Update vBull fine, and it runs smooth for a day.
- Install vBa a second time without hickups, and am able to view the main page.
-Now I cant?

The only things I have touched in adminCP since that time are styles, or more precisely... Template editing of the main header, to get a view images moved over. All of this code was copied from the previous servers install, and contained no vBull or specific scripting. All html, and css.

...though I'm not ruling it out, as I have yet to find the cause. ;>

Thanks,
GAb

Hmmm... Would you mind just submitting a support ticket via the Member's Area so I can have a look?

Brian... sorry I never got back to this thread. I am finally able to get back to troubleshooting this issue. I will be submitting a ticket soon, but wanted to add some things that I have found. Uninstalling and reinstalling cmps fixes it. Then it breaks as soon as I make any changes to the "front page/home". Selecting a style other than option, what blocks/modules are shown... anything. This is truely bizzar.
