As I Said It Was Caused By The Files Not Being Overwritten When Uploading To Forum...................
All I Done Was To Delete The Files On The Ftp., and reupload them.
No - that is not a Solution :

Maybe it happens if you installed the Portal after the vBulletin Upgrade before you and me refreshed the Forumcounters ? I will try it tomorrow.

I just installed 3.6 gold clean - not a single member, not a single post etc.
When i goto the install page for vbadvanced, that's when i get the 'admin hash mismatch' error. I can't get past it.
sadly, i lack any real experience to resolve it myself...

So it's safe to run the gold update and apply the update to vbadvanced afterwards?

I installed this and everything works fine with the exception of the navbar on the front page.
When I click on anything on the navbar I do not get the full link. It works in the forums though, but not on the front page. Here is what I get when I click on the usercp on the CMPS page:

Here is what I get in the forums and this should be what I get on the CMPS page.

Are we going to see a vbCMPS to show on all pages, inside threads/posts , event calendar etc in a future release?

Thats not hard at all. just look in this section of the manual in the members area.
Integrating Other vB Pages & Hacks
you will have to edit a couple of files but i did and i am by no means a coder.

For those who need to upgrade, simply download the package from here and replace your existing admincp/vba_cmps_admin.php file with the new one from the package.
I followed these directions exactly, and got the same error message below:
Invalid SQL:
SELECT varname, text FROM phrase WHERE phrasetypeid = 5000 ORDER BY languageid ASC;
MySQL Error : Unknown column 'phrasetypeid' in 'where clause'
Error Number : 1054

You're not running the 2.2 files.
This said a few times lead me to believe I had to do something else, so re-uploaded all of vbadvanced files to the server, overwriting when it asked me to. That seemed to fix the problem. I'm under the impression that "You're not running the 2.2 files." means "You have to upload more files then what it say in the original directions." =P
That gets rid of the error in the control panel, but my index is now gone.

There is no 'phrasetypeid' query in ANY of the vBa 2.2 files, if you are getting that error then you have vBa 2.1 or lower files.

Uninstall/Reinstall fixed it, but I'd like to know what caused that and if there is something I can do different on the next 3 boards I have to update. I'd rather not have to rebuild CMPS if I can help it. Should I have updated CMPS first prior to upgrading vB?

attroll go and update your replacements settings once.
Are you referring to the header, navbar and footer replacement in the CMPC default settings?

I'm still having the same problem with the newest release (on 3.6) as I was previously: the install goes flawlessly, it can be configured from the CP, etc. However, when visiting cmps_index.php, vbAdvanced will never recognise a user as logged in. If I fill in the user login details on the vbA main page, click the 'Remember Me?' box and login, vB recognises the login (gives the 'Welcome back username' screen) and returns me to the vbA interface -- but on that screen I am no longer logged in.
This is a problem I reported some time ago; quite frustrated it still exists. Is it something on the server side that needs to be tweaked?
At present, vbA 2.2 simply doesn't seem to work with 3.6, given that users cannot effective log in via the interface.

Hello! I've just donwloaded it and start to install , first of all i've read the instructions , but there is a problem , becouse i am using windows and appache and for the forum path , i do not use /home/user/ ... And here is the bug , i've installed it but when i try to reach the index.php its written Invalid forum path specified! Please edit this file and be sure to include the correct path for your $forumpath variable.
Thats exactly for the forum path , so my question is how to make it without using /home/site/ ...

i was getting that error when clicking default settings in control panel. the one where its been said that the 2.2.0 files werent there
the problem i think lies in that for some reason in some instances it is not overwriting the files on the server with the new one. im using flash fxp and altho it seemed to transfer ok it actually didnt
the problem i think maybe that in my case the date modified for the new files is '3427' this is in the future and this could be causing problems when the ftp proggy is trying to suss if its to overwrite the file or not
i got around this problem by loading up the ftp through a browser window then transferring the files across that way. they all overwrited correctly and now it works a ok
when people are saying you aint upped the files on there its quite frustrating as you can appreciate in my case from what ive seen the files really have transferred as far as im aware.
ive attached a screen grab of the properties of one of the 2.2.0 files as you can see the modified date is all to cock and this is what is causing the problems with files not transferring etc which will then lead to the problems detailed above

Please humor me here.
When I get to the dowload of this updated CMPS I only find three versions the last of which says "2.2.1 (vB 3.6) - Updated 10-15-2006".
Am I to assume this is the updated one but it just does not show it or am I in the wrong place?
Thanks in advance...
EDIT:
Never mind... :o
I should have looked at the dates on the thread..
