Sub-Directories

Is there a way to make the sub-directories not display on the links directory home page? If so, how?

Change the forum display depth in vB Options--->Forum Listings Display Options in the AdminCP.

If I change the first two settings to "0" the sub-directories do not show on the forum home page, but they are still showing on the links directory home page. I'm wanting the opposite of this. Expanded on forum....collapsed on links directory.
