I installed vbadvanced on saturday and did some tweaking/hacking to get the site to function like I wanted it too. I'm very pleased with the results. There are still areas that have yet to be recoded so they work properly with the homepage, but overall I'm very pleased. And it installed easily for me.

Took me a while to notice that "index templates" was on the site.. but once I found those templates I was off.

Things I have done:
1. added in custom header.
2. added "pulldown" style selector to homepage.
3. added in Gallery "latest image" to custom 1.
4. added in "hot topics" graphics plates to custom 2 and moved it to center. (this is a custom application I created and integrated into VB. Auto archives as you add more tiles for new threads)

Things to be done:
1. Recode Photopost so that it uses the same template as the homepage.
2. Recode chat so that it appears in the center of the homepage if you click chat.
3. Integrate file/links/tutorials database into new format and integrate the top 5 from each catagory into custom 3, 4, and 5 fields that have yet to be created.

Thanks.

now that i have vbadvanced installed properly, where can i find out about getting it set up like Aceman has on his forum or somewhat similarly. obviously mine is nowhere near as well set up as his: www.thevividedge.com

any thoughts would be great...right off the bat the biggest thing is i have no middle column of content, but would love to be able to set it up with as much content as aceman's.

At least put something like "Welcome to my site" so a middle column will show up. :)
