View Full Version : CMPS Problem: News Display

Okay, I have the CMPS running (now it is, rather than my previous problem with Homepage). Well, it only displays the news archive, and not news posts with the actual text in the posts. It just displays the news archive. What is wrong with it? It should be working, all options should be set correctly, and they are, as far as I know.

My site is http://exploretristate.com if someone wants to take a look to see if there lies a solution on the homepage.

Have you just upgraded from vB2 to vB3? have you updated your thread counters if yes?

No. We're running 3.0.3, and it was a clean install. I will however update the thread counters just for giggles. :)

We're going to re-install CMPS to see if that fixes it. I'll let you know what happens. :)

Edit: Okay, so it says that we're running the current version of vBa, and it won't reinstall.

Do you have your 'News Maximum Posts' setting set at 0? If so, change that to a higher value. A setting of 0 is supposed to cause it to show all posts, but actually disables the news instead.

That didn't work. Thank you though for your suggestion. :) The Maximum News Posts is set to 10, so that can't be the problem...

I got the same problem at this fresh install:

News are not shown on this site.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Same problem .. no news showing. I've reinstalled the templates, and reinstalled the entire CMPS. Doesn't seem to do anything. Any idea?

I believe the answer Brian put in my ticket was that the news module was not enabled. Make sure that is enabled, however that is done. If all else fails, submit a ticket...
