Searching

I just noticed that there is a seperate search feature for this so I am assuming this not work with vB's exisiting search engine? Not a show stopper but it would definatly be nice to use as much of the single search point provided natively in vB as possible although I admit, I have no idea how involved that is to make that happen.

The links search engine is not combined with vBulletin's as this would require quite a bit more hacking of the default vBulletin files.

While we are on the subject of searching... I have noticed on the official example sites, including this one, when I search for most things in the links it comes up with an error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: fetch_private_dirs() in ...search.php on line 336

Also I tried to do a search for a specific username that posted a reply to a link (I also checked "Posts" under Search fields) and it did not come up any results, with or without checking "Exact name."

Other than that this looks like a great addon and I will be purchasing pretty soon :)

The fetch_private_dirs() error is a small bug caused because I decided to rename that function, but forgot to change it in the search.php file. It's a simple fix which is posted in the bugs forum, and I have just updated this site and edmplanet.com so that it should work properly. :)
Good catch on it not finding posts by those users. Right now it only looks for links submitted by those users, but I've changed the dev copy so that it will now search for posts by that user if the 'posts' box is checked (you'll see that it will behave like that now on here and edmplanet.com as well). ;)

You mentioned the searching of posts too, but what about keywords? I searched for "vbulletin"... well I'll attach screen shots :)

Edit: It works without checking "Match whole word only" is there a reason for that?
