View Full Version : Zoints, we need to know more about it!

I see that Zoints is a package of many different modules, you have Zoints Tags, Zoints SEO, Zoints Social Networking, but I think we all need to know more about Zoints at this point, so let's discuss it in this thread.

Some forum owners think Zoints is out to steal your members and content, I guess they feel that your members will join Zoints or other forums and leave their forums!

I would like to add Zoints to established forums but I hear there are still bugs in some of the scripts, I was reading that it is open source and that developers are not helping them work the bugs out of some of the scripts.

I just wonder if you can add Zoints to a forum without endangering your SERP's and indexed pages at this point, changing URL's around with Zoint's SEO scares the **** out of me!

What do you all think, can these modules like Zoints Tags be used without all the other programs, is it worth the risk :confused:

vBa is a Zoints member but is not associated to Zoints outside of that. The best place for those kinds of questions & concerncs would either be at the Zoints support site (http://network.zoints.com) or at at forum admin' site such as The Admin Zone.

Several of my sites are Zoints members as well... but those would not be the place for people to ask more questions about the Zoints programs or if there are 'bugs' in them or about specific Zoints branded hacks like the tags hack.

vBa the site is a Zoints member. If you have questions about that aspect of it (eg: how to link your accounts, how to disable the options in your ACP) then feel free to ask but for issues like what you are addressing then there are better places to be asking those questions.

So you are saying that discussions about Zoints are not allowed when vBadvanced is a Zoints partner :confused:No, I'm saying that the best place to get your answers is on the Zoints support site or at vB.org where the hacks like the Zoints Tag system has been released. vBa did not release any of those hacks so getting support for those hacks is best served at their support sites.

You wanted to know about 'bugs' in the Zoints hacks; the best place for that question is in the Zoints support forums or in the threads for those hacks at vB.org. You wanted to know about the Zoints Tags system (which isn't even being used here at vBa); the best place for that question is in the Zoints support forums or in the vB.org thread. You wanted to know about Zoints content versus your sites content; that question is best asked in the Zoints supports or on a generic admin' site like TAZ.

He didn't say they weren't allowed. He was just trying to point you to the best places for better answers. ;)

Fair enough, I appreciate that, but I think since this organization is a partner of Zoints, it is fair game for us to discuss Zoints here!

I guess you guys can stop the discussion by locking the thread or deleting it, thanks!

I just don't think discussing Zoints here would give the best results since this isn't a Zoints support forum.

You might get responses back from a couple of the people who are members of both vBa and happen to be Zoints members but for the most part you'll get a much better response in other of the other sites I mentioned (and, in the case of the actual Zoints support forum, responses back from their actual programmers :cool: ).
