Category is Validated?

Could someone explain this?

Category is Validated
Category appears as "Awaiting Moderation" and is unaccessible otherwise.

It isn't that self explanatory to me.

It's the same concept of a link or post that has not yet been validated. With the new user category options, there is one where you can require validation before a user submitted category is visible.

Gotcha. So if I don't allow user categories, I can ignore this basically? :)

Yup. Just be sure it's set to 'Yes' (which it should be by default) for any new categories you create. :)
