I booked VBadvanced last night and paid for an install. I was a bit disappointed when I got to my desk today that nothing had appeared. I wrote to ask when Brian was going to have time to do it so I could plan when to fit in customising before it'll be in use on Monday.
It's now about 18 hours after I paid for my booking and apart from confirmation of payment through paypal I've not heard anything. No confirmation from VBadvanced and no install.
I anyone has news - maybe Brian is not well, I'd appreciate knowing. And Brian if something has glitched and my order isn't showing up or you did write to me, I haven't heard anything so please get in touch.
Sob.

I apologize for the delay with your order. It seems that PayPal changed some things a day or two ago, and the information they were sending back to us after an order was no longer correct. I have notified them about the bug with their system, applied a fix to things on our side, and added all licenses/installs that did not go through over the last couple of days. You should now see your install ticket in the Members' Area here, and I will be taking care of all open tickets as soon as I finish with new posts here.

I noticed this with paypal this week. I wasn't getting notification of payments. It'll be interesting to see what PayPal's response is to Brian. With some trial & error it looks like PayPal changed their system to use the primary email address on the account instead of the one explicitly specified in the transaction feed.

Was this with their IPN system, or perhaps subscriptions in vB? Incase it helps, the problem we had was that you are supposed to be able to specify a hidden form element of 'business', and that would tell it which PayPal email address to used based on the value. For some reason though, they started sending the primary PayPal email address back instead of what was specified. Our script that processes the licenses checks to make sure that the email addresses match up, but since they didn't, it quit processing any further. I would assume this is only an issue when you specify an email address that is different than your primary one, and wouldn't affect *that* many people. I did send them an email to let them know about the bug in detail, but I've got $50 that says they'll just respond with a typical cut & paste "faq" response.

Brian thanks for response and first draft install.
The paypal email I used was the one I always use with my paypal account. However I am logged in here with you under my business emal. Don't know if that helps.
Please get in touch via either email. I have had no confirmation from you about the install so I'm not sure whether I have the same admin username + pw as for the VBulletin. Logging in isn't working right so I think something mt OK. I have emailed you re other issues.

Looks like you should have taken our bet, Kevin.
Dear Brian Gunter,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
We are aware of this issue with the notification email going to primary email address instead of the specified one and our engineers are actively working to resolve it.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
As soon as we are aware that the problem has been resolved, we will notify you by replying to this email.
Thank you for your patience.

Haha... Maybe the fact that I put "Please forward this to your tech department" as the first line actually did some good. :p
