How do I add content to middle area?

I've added a page to my site; but I cannot seem to add content to it so it shows up blank! What do I need to do to add contents to it? I know I have to add a page for it somehow; but where do I place the file and how shuold the file name be inserted?

Yes; I have. Unfortunetly, it doesn't seem to explain too well for a newbie like myself. However, just a few minutes ago, I noticed the thread "Put content in custom blocks" under "Similar Threads" and just figured out how to do it.
