Well, just got around to installing this update and ran the install and then selected the upgrade, and then I get this error message.

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.2:

Invalid SQL:
ALTER TABLE links RENAME adv_links;

MySQL Error : Table 'vbulletin.links' doesn't exist
Error Number : 1146

Now I have removed all the users from seeing the Links area until I can resolve this issue so that the error message does not show up all the time. Any one else have the same problem?

So you installed 2.0, and then tried to upgrade? That's a valid table name, so there shouldn't be any way you could get that... Which version were you running before you tried to upgrade?

Hi Brian,

I was using the release pryor to the RC1 but I was having problems with the Random Links issue and your sent me an email that the fix was in this release, and I just got around to installing it today, or at least trying to Grin!

I was suprised to see that this would not install, but hey I'm new to this sort of stuff, but I did put in a support ticket for this for you as well.

Now this throws a curve at me, and I will need your help with this one.

Thanks

Dennis

Hmmmm... That's wierd since that query should only be run if you're upgrading from the v1.x series. I'm not entirely sure why the install script is trying to run it again (though I suspect it's something with the version number). I'll take a look at your ticket in just a few minutes though and figure out what's going on.

Hi Brian, thanks for getting back to me on this. I'm sure that you will find the reason behind this problem with the install. Thanks again for the support.
