I haven't looked at vBadvanced since 3.0.3.
I downloaded the latest for 3.5.5 and installed it fine. Everything looked the same at first glance but when it came time to create a module I was a lost!
I want to copy the news module and assign a custom template to it. There isn't a template field in the add new module option anymore :(
Does it still work this way?

Okay heres a bit more on the topic.
Assuming I want to copy/ replicate the news module. My goal is to recreate the news module but call it something else because I want to span code between the columns for cosmetic reasons which I did with older vBadvanced versions without problems.
So having copied the module, I guess converting it to a template module would be easier to manage in my case(limited php skills). If I read correctly, I have to turn of the shell option to take control of the custom template output for that module. In doing so, I noticed my copied news module stopped producing live content.
What am I doing wrong?
Is there a tutorial or update manual to help understand the difference bwteen this news vBadvance and the older versions?
PS. In doing so(copied)... I lost all the controls that the news module offers; forum, display options etc etc.. The only thing left is the user permissions :(
*UPDATE: I found a tutorial in the MODS section that walked me through it, looks like im back on track.
