Set your options, and move the modules around where you would like them. :)

Why doesnt the left sidebar go all the way to the side?
And how do i add content to the middle?
Brian

Because you have not set a news forum id yet. Change your default settings and make sure you enter a forumid for your 'News Forum ID' option.

Content in the center is generated, depending on your vBaCMPS settings, by content from your forums. In the AdminCP, click on vBa CMPS, and then default settings. From there you can determine which forums contribute to your News category, how many posts appear, and then how many posts appear in the News Archive.
For the Custom Content, check the User's Manual (http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=usermanuals) on how to create pages for that module. Good Luck!

I can't see what you're talking about... haloimpulse.com takes me straight to your forum.

I don't see them... but I had them when I first got set up. They're the clear.gif placeholders to use as a spacer between table columns. Typically that just means you have to make sure that the image path is defined.

thats the other problem. On my forums, when i click on archive, of admin panal, or naeerly anything it goes to something like haloimpulse.com/forum.php/archive...
when it should be haloimpulse.com/archive
Jason McConnell

it should be going to url/forum/archive.php... the archive.php should be in the forum folder unless you're using a subdomain which would look like forum.url.com/archive.php. You've got a line commented wrong somewhere.

I dont have the forums installed in a directory. There are installed in the root folder. Same as vba

Personally, I'd start over. At this point there isn't anything to lose, and reinstall everything to /root/forum/. Trust me, it'll work a whole lot better this way.
The Some Random Dude who registered at your site was me, I left a post for you at vBulletin.com because I could see all your site's files when I plugged your site's URL into my browser.

yeah, i saw that. Well ive had to reinstall quite a couple times, so is there anyway i can keep the members that have already registered?

in your AdminCP, all the way to the bottom on the left, is a tool for backing up your database. You can select which tables to back up, but re-integrating it with a new dbase is the trick. I've only restored, I don't know how you'd go about doing that. If you've only got a couple of members then asking them to re-register shouldn't be all that big a deal, should it?

Why re-install? If you're just trying to move the forum, just create a new 'forum' folder and then move all of your forum's files and directories into there.
As for the archive problem, what do you have set as your 'Forum URL' in your main vBulletin options?

Hehe... I didn't think it would be that simple. Sorry :\

Brian

Because you have not set a news forum id yet. Change your default settings and make sure you enter a forumid for your 'News Forum ID' option.

I set it to 1 and nothing happened

After looking at your forums, you don't have a forum with the id of 1. I'm assuming you want to pull news from the 'Announcements' and 'HaloImpulse News' forums, so you would set the News Forum Id option to '3,4'.

>:-(!!! I put it on 2,3 and nothing still comes up!
Brian

You don't have a forum with a forumid of 2. It should still pull posts from your forum with an id of 3 though... If you'd like to submit a support ticket via the Member's Area here I'll be glad to take a look and see what the problem is.
