Idea: Top Writers Module

I really like the top posters and top reputation modules.

But they don't actually give the right impression of who is the most active users. Some users blast the forums with one sentence or less post, and some users just has a lot of friends... :p

So I would like a Top Writers block, with the character count of all their posts and the avarage per post... This might be too server intensive? And perhaps difficult to do? But it would be a really interesting module! :D

Anyone up to it? :)

Very... The amount of memory and processing required for something like this would be extremely high. It might be possible with a cron script run once a day though (at least then it wouldn't be a huge server hit every time somebody loaded your page).

Updatet once a day, or per week would do the trick also. When one come to 1M characters -- a day/week to or from wouldn't matter that much... ;)
