URL not valid?

I tried to enter a new link and got this message "The URL you entered is not valid. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL.".

The site is https://www.hcllusers.org/. I know the site exists.
Why do I get this message?

Admin CP => vBa Links Directory => Modify Settings => Main Options => Remote Site Function

Try changing that option to 'fsockopen' and that should take care of the problem.

I have the same problem and that doesnt fix it for me. Mine is already set to 'fsockopen'
