Do I have to manually change the adv_portal_content etc for each skin?

I'm sorry, but I don't follow what you're asking...

Alright lets say I add a module named "content". I display the content module on the left of the page and in the adv_portal_content I put the HTML For links etc. Now I have a module where users can click links to go to custom pages. I have 2 skins. 1 skin I bought and the default skin. If users use both skins, do I need to add a adv_portal_content for both skins? Also, Is there a way I can have the left sidebar display on every page including the forum? I may only want a left sidebar. No news etc.

Yes, you need to have them for both skins. adv_portal_content is merely a template. Your skin needs to have that template in order for it to be displayed. I too have a custom skin and the default skin available temporarily (just so I can view source code when designing the new skin at times). No new templates that I've created for the new skin, will show or work for the default skin, UNLESS I copy them over to the default skin's list of templates.

As far as putting in your nav bar with the forums...I don't think that could be done w/o some serious coding. Of course, Brian would know best. ;) My guess though, is that you'd have to check at vb.org for that hack.

I was wrong about the sidebar being displayed...you can do that w/ CMPS. See here:
