Turn off right column and lock width of center column on one page?

Is it possible to do this:

turn off right column (no modules)

set the center column to a specified width so it doesn't dynamically adjust the width of the column

If anyone has any suggestions on how to accomplish this it would be appreciated.

Just turn off all of the modules on the right side, then edit your 'adv_portal' template and add a width attribute to the center <td> tag.

You could add a conditional to the template so that the fixed width only happens on specific page names. The other bit is already specific to the page yo are doing.
