Is there any way to stretch a module (Recent Threads) the entire width of the page, when all the other modules are above it.

At the moment i am only using two colums and there is nothing beside recent threads, but it is still locked, to two colums width when there is space for it to go the entire width of the page.

Is there something i can edit to free this up?

yes ...if you put it in the center , then you have to move all the modules from the right side to the left page ...it's will automatic stretch it out .so now you only had 2 block appear in the home page : left and the center .

Thank you for repling

Yes i understand what you are saying, and that is the layout that i have. However, there is nothing beside recent threads, all the other modules are above it.
So what i am looking for is a two column layout (which i have) but recent threads sitting below, which will strectch out to fill the whole page (edge to edge)

Ahhh... I'm new to this, but I can answer this for anyone with the same problem in the future.

You'd need to ad a new block (aside from "left column", "center column", and "right column") called something like "bottom". How to do this is documented elsewhere (changing CP settings, editting adv_portal template, etc).

When you're editting adv_portal, which dictates the module layout, you'll be using the colspan attribute to make that particular column (signifying the new bottom block) span 2 columns, in this case "center" and "right", if I understand this poster correctly.

Does this make sense? Just search for something like "custom vbadvanced layout" and you'll find a sweet little tutorial on the specifics.

Good luck, future problem-solvers
