Module to show sticky thread contents only?

I am trying to create pages for affiliates on my site. Each affiliate already has their own forum and I would like to give them a CMPS page for additional style. I will be using the latest posts module for most of the content, but I would like a "welcome to affiliate x" module at the top. Ideally, this can be changed by the affiliate by editing one of their posts.

Can anyone tell me an easy way to do this? I would use the news module but the replies to the post will show up in the content field as well. I would prefer to not have to specify the post as an option in each affiliate, i.e. the top sticky thread has its first post displayed like in the new news module.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for how to do this?

If you will only be pulling post from the affiliates forum then specifying a thread as sticky should automatically put it at the top of the recent posts module.
