Has anyone played around with the % or pixel settings for a 3 column CMPS homepage, and found the best settings so that you don't get a horizontal scroll bar at 800x600 screen resolution?

Can you post a link to your site so I can see what you're talking about?

BanjoLawer, it looks like the problem is more to do with those three thumbnails that you have in a middle module than with the CMPS settings.

I thought that might be the problem so I deactivated it before posting. It does the same thing when I make the thumbincluder inactive. I'll make that module inactive again until tomorrow if you'd like to look again.

I'm also getting a horizontal scroll bar at 800x600 on the forumhome when displaying the CMPS left column.

Not sure I'm following.... did you mean that you turned everything off but the left column or something else?

I get a horizontal scroll bar

- at www.78749.org

- and at www.78749.org/forums/index.php when using the option described at http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6 to display my CMPS left colum on the forumhome.

CMPS page is caused because of your latest forum topics. There's too much information to try and cram into that small of a space. If you disable on of the options there or modify the template so that it doesn't require as many columns then that shouldn't happen.
The forum is mostly due to the last post column. Because you have the number of characters of the last post set to a somewhat high number, it doesn't allow for enough room for everything.

I have my blocks setup to 150... seems to work nicely... maybe you can try that...
