admincp slower and head not loading

I've searched the forums but can't seem to find an answer:

yesterday night I installed cmps and it worked like a charm.

Today I want to start skinning and in the admincp the head doesn't load (DNS error) and when i click on cp home it loads only after 35 secs.

any ideas?

edit: I've noticed that whilst I'm loading /forums/admincp/index.php in another browser window my forum doesn't load when i click any link untill the /forums/admincp/index.php is loaded, then it comes up too in the other window.

Unless you badly mis-hacked your /admincp/index.php file (which I don't see how that would even be possible), then there's no reason this hack would affect your Admin CP.

nope load is fine
the fun part is I didn't change anything today, aznd yesterday it worked

I'll reload my backup and start over *sniv*

Ah, and I just realized what the problem is (since I just tried to go to the admin cp here)... vBulletin's server is down. Part of the admin cp does a call back to vb.com, so that's what's causing the slow down. ;)

oh yeah.. i experienced that too... not a slow down, but where it says "latest version" instead of 3.0.3 there was a "n/a" that is how i figured vb was down..
