It seems as if most of the sites here, are of fixed widith (very narrow). I personally prefer the dynamic pages: www.onlinedebate.net (and www.vbadvanced.com). I think they look more professional and are easier to read.

What are your preferences? If you prefer fixed over dynamic, why? I'm just curious if there are perceived advantages or if it is merely a matter of taste.

Same...here I have a problem when I got to a site and it's all wide looking...;) but some members like that so with it as a choice everyone wins..;)

Personally I like dynamic sites better (in case you couldn't tell ;)). The main reason is just because it allows for the content to make use of the entire screen. I also think it shows the designer is a little better if the width is dynamic... It's usually a lot harder to come up with a design that looks good on all screen resolutions than just a fixed width. :)

How can I make a site dynamic if it is fixed?

Depends....do you mean w/ vbadvanced, vb forum, site in general?

Generally, use % instead of pixels for width="xx" ie...width="x%"
