MorrisMcD,
I'm not a sports fan but the layout is coming along nicely. That sports score module is pretty cool. The CMPS layout gives it a 'cleaner' look than the old index.
Oh, and I guess a "Go Bengals!". :p

I don't think the blue, default part of the theme integrates well w/ the orange/black.
Also, your right column is too long compared to your left column.
I see you use photos on the site. Have you considered Coppermine (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/)? There are vb and cmps hacks for it. You may want to check it out.
It's getting there. ;)

I do need to change the blue, but not sure what i'd make it yet.. maybe just white.. I missed it when originally editing the skin, and I just missed it. The right column is way long, but when you register the welcome block and weather is on the left. But I should clean it up to look good for registered and non registered users.. I will check out the coppermine... Thanks for the tip

Just some ideas for ya...feel free to shoot 'em down as you see if. ;)
Change the white to a light yellow perhaps: #FFFFCC
Black and/or orange button sets:

I did a search on Google with: black orange vbulletin button setand got a lot of hits. I'm sure you can find something you like there. ;)
Use the attached graphic to go on top of your left column, may even it out a bit, and make it look a little more official. ;) Use a different helmet or use PS to change the black background to the same as your page background (see yellow above).

The yellow idea is a turn off to me, but I will at least look at it and see how it looks. Depends on how close the yellow is to orange.
I saw the two sets of buttons, but I am not sure what to do with them if I want to use them.. I would assume just overwrite files with the same name. However, there isnt even a 0stars.gif on my forum. Among many other files. Are these sets designed for VBv2 or VBv3? I have v3. I like the orange one a lot too.
I will try the helmet out eventually when I get to it, but thanks for the ideas

I got the yellow background idea from the official Bengals (http://www.bengals.com/) site, which looks pretty good IMO. Whatever color you use, it will be better than white. There is too much of a contrast between the white and the darker colors. A medium tone will reduce that contrast making it more appealing to the eye. ;)
The buttons would just replace the existing buttons (ftp them to your button directory). I don't know which version of vb they are designed for...but that doesn't matter. You just have to be sure that the names match. Feel free to upload and replace them with any button set, as much as you like, to see how they look. If you don't like any of them, just replace your edited set w/ your default buttons that came with vb, and you are back to normal. All without renaming a single button.
The only difference that the vb2 vs vb3 buttons would make, is the naming, and even then, it's only a few buttons I believe. To resolve that, you just have to find out what the vb3 button name is (right click, view properties of the graphic), then rename the vb2 button that you want to replace it with.
nice layout, blends nice with the rest of your images and logos :)
