Latest Topics: how to direct to last post instead of thread

How do I get the link in the Latest Forum Topics module, to take the reader to the last post in the thread. By default, it merely takes you to the first post of the first thread.

This is a pretty big inconvenience for larger communities (as well as an unnecessary server process) as we have to click to go to that thread, then click "last" to go to the last page.

Can someone help with this? I'd like it to go to the last post of that thread, not the first post.

If you click on the arrow graphic in that section then it will take you to the last post in the thread. If you want the title of the thread to also take you there then you could just edit your 'adv_portal_latestthreadbits' template and change the link.
