Some thoughts...

I posted this in the feedback poll, but since that forum isnt visible to people, I thought I'd repost it here....

Here are some thoughts on how CMPS could be made more flexible



1) the ability to set the display order of modules in EACH PAGE rather than for all pages.

2) a horizontal option for the adv_portal template... in other words, you should be able to choose for each page... [x] Horizontal Layout which would give you 3 tables stacked on top of each other, with a variable number of cells in each, depending on visible modules.

Instead of left/center/right, you'd have top/middle/bottom -- I hope that makes sense.

3) A way to span between center and left, or center and right for any given module. I can't think of an easy way to do this one... but it would be very useful for homepages (less useful for forum pages).

Yeah, i did this in my test page... .the way I did it is that I specified the dimentions of each block some were 150 of witdh others 300 and so on, looked all right... it gave me anice look, but you cannot change their places easily since my site would look all weird
