When a user goes to submit a journal then they try to pick the category they want the journal to go in it list all the categories. Even if they are not allowed to submit to them it still lists them all.
Is there a way we can change this so that it will only list the ones that they are allowed to submit to instead of them all?

OK, here is the followup on this one also.
When a user clicks on SUBMIT ENTRY they get a box with a drop down in it and when you click on the drop down it list all the categories. I mean every category there is, even if they can not submit to it.
Now if you click one you can not submit to then it still lets you open up the submission screen, but you also have to click on the drop down box that list categories again, but in this box it only lists the categories that you can submit to now. Unlike the first box that list every category ever created.
This is going to be a big confusion for users. We need to have either the first drop down so that it only lists the categories that the user is allowed to submit to and let them choose the category here and then carry it forward to the next screen where you actually type your blog, There is no need or sense to have to pick the category twice.

Both of the boxes should list the same categories as the code to print them is exactly the same. Neither should list categories you don't have permission to submit entries to though. You may want to try replacing your current newentry.php file with the one in the download package just to be sure I'm not forgetting about something that was updated. If that doesn't help, would you mind submitting a support ticket so I can have a look at things?

I just uploaded all the new files over the old ones and now when I click on Submit now I get this error.
Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /home/athiker/public_html/forum/includes/vba_blog_functions.php on line 343

For a quick fix, you can save your categories display order in the admin cp (which will update the category cache). Give me a few and I'll figure out what's causing it in the first place.

OK, that fixed the error, but not the original problem.
When the user clicks on Submit they get this box listing all the categories. I have included a screen shot (submit1.gif)
Then after they pick a a file they are not allowed to submit to (about me) it bring them to the second window that I have included a screen shot from (submit2.gif)
As you can see in in the screen second screen shot it only list the categories that the user is allowed to submit too.

To add to this. I did try replacing my current newentry.php with the one in the most recent file from your site and I am still getting this problem.
I was hoping to get this resolved before you quite for the day.

Could I get you to submit a support ticket so I can have a look at things?

OK, Brian has fixed my problem. But I seem to have found another. It there away to change it by default so the admin can not addd to other users blogs.
