Splitting Category Creation Priveleges

I'm slightly troubled that users can create all categories at all levels. I'd prefer to be able to restrict them to a certain level or region of where they can create globally and/or restrict them to creating categories within one or multiple categories.

I may just be misunderstanding you... Every category has an option to select whether sub-categories can be added under it already though.

I agree with you 100%. As of right now we can limit the amount of categories a usergroup can have but they can create a category and have as many sub-categories as they want under that unless we limit the usergroup categories.

This is sort of what I was trying to say in my other post titled "Categories and how I would lke it (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?p=106444#post106444)". It would be nice if the users was only allowed to create sub categories in the the original ones that admin created, but then could only create more sub categories under the top level category of the level they created. This way they could not create more then one category by them in in the original categories.
