vBadvanced Links Directory v2.0.1 has just been released and is now available to current license holders in the Members' Area. This is mostly a maintenance release to fix all currently known issues. Other changes also include:
Main settings page changed to allow you to select single setting groups.
Image verification for guests is now available for searching, reporting links/posts, and sending links to friends, in addition to submitting links and replying to links from previous versions.
New permission setting to enable/disable usergroups from reporting links.
"Show Sub-Categories" option updated so that the smaller listing of sub-categories within the categorybits can be turned into a column formatted listing.
rel="nofollow" tags added throughout the templates to help direct search engines.

Excellent, thank you very much.

I still hope to see the option to choose individual styles for each category soon, as in vbulletin and vBgallery.

here you go (http://www.haitiwebs.com/forums/haitisearch/index.php)

I only have one test link in there. But this latest version is really spectacular. I will be using for yellow pages, links directory, artist database simultaneously. And that new category column thing is really nice. I highly recommend it.

so do I have to download 2.0.0 before I can get 2.0.1? Is there a direct download I can buy for 2.0.1?

Brian

No, there is no need to download/install v2.0.0 first. v2.0.1 is available in the Members' Area here.

To upgrade you would need to download the latest version and then follow the instructions in the readme_vba_links.html file that comes with the download package.

Thanks, I did it, but there are only INSTALLATION instructions, not update instructions. Does it mean a normal installation has to be done. Or did I load a wrong file down. br hr

Installation Instructions
Step 1 - File Modifications

In your /links/links_config.php.new file that came with this script:

Open this file and find:
$forumpath = '';

Add the full path to your forum on your server between the '' marks here.
Save the file as links_config.php (removing the '.new' part from the end).

Not sure how to find the path to your forums?

Step 2 - Upload Files
Upload the new vBadvanced files to the directories listed below.

forums/admincp vbalinks_install.php
vba_links_admin.php
forums/cpstyles vba_cp_logo.gif
forums/includes adminfunctions_vba_links.php ...

Click the link at the top right of the file that says "Upgrading", or just scroll to the bottom of the readme file.

The update is done:
in the vba_links_admin.php I have following message:

You are currently running vBadvanced Links Directory v2.0.1.

The latest version available is 2.0.0.

There is a newer version of vBadvanced Links Directory available!

Please check vBadvanced.com for more info.

Did I made a mistake?

My apologies for that. It looks like the permissions on the file here that prints out the version were reset when we moved servers, so that file was never actually updated with the new version number. I've just corrected that here so it should show you the correct version and message now.

Look@Me,

You are not showing as being a registered vBa Links owner. Please update your license information.
