no, they pay by how many times people click on the ads.. not just for viewing them.

While putting up ads might be a good revenue stream, having users click them to generate profit for a site is not a good idea. No one knows exactly how google tracks fraud but it is clear that they suspend accounts when they feel it necessary, having you click an ad without any interest in the ad isn't going to help anyone, the site would likely loose their account quickly and the advertisers (i.e. vbulletin) are going to either stop advertising or pas the increased costs onto you, that is the nature of ppc fraud.
