Seeing the VB Blog situation, and their mention of updated User Profiles made me think of the overall Profile page, and how it will work with Vblogicles.

Do we plan on having easily defined abilities to add stuff from the Blogicles into the Profile system?

I think it is key actually. Wishlist, I would like the following:

Last X Blog/Article Entries
Ability to show last X from X category
(in case we have blogs as one cat, and articles as another, and links as another, which would be completely different usages)
Total articles/blogs/entries
User defined sidebar blocks (as normally seen on their blog area) (not that important to me, but cool overall).

And, if multiple installations are used, which is how Im leaning, then ability to insert that info from each.

If you utilize a guestbook-per-user script, ability to place that on user profile as well. (I saw that mentioned as a request). That should cover almost anything VB winds up doing.

At this point in time at least, we probably won't be concentrating on the profile pages that much. I may be able to throw some plugins together in the mean time, but it will probably be at least a few versions down the line before some things like that are included by default.

I think plugins, or how-to's will be good enough for me, most people who would want to include stuff on the profile page will be doing editing/re-arranging anyway.

Usually if you point me in the right direction I am good to go, so if you want later on maybe you can run me through it quick, and I can write some detailed how-tos up for the rest of the folks. If you think that would help save you time for other things that is.

If you wouldn't mind, try to give me a reminder about this sometime shortly after beta 2 is released. That would be something I could spend some time working on and not having to change the vBa Blogicles files in the process, so that might be a good time for me to whip up a couple of plugins. :)

Thank you sir. :)

I'm trying to concentrate a little more on the CMPS for this week since it's long overdue for an update. I've added a note to my to-do list though to whip up some profile plugins, so give me a few days to hack away at the CMPS and I'll get these taken care of shortly after.

Sounds good, no rush.
