We have installed vBadvanced on our forum as per the instructions, and everything worked out OK.
We've now been into our forum/admincp and we can see "vBa CMPS" on the left hand side that wasn't there before.
Our question is, how do we actually activate it, as we went onto our website (www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/forums) and it doesn't see to be 'switched on'.
A dumb question I know, but we've read the instructions a dozen times and we know we've carried these out correctly and we can't find any reference to it in these forums.
Finally - We seem to be missing a file called "titleimage" that should be located in forums/images/misc - I'm not sure what's happened to this file, but has anyone got any idea when I can get a copy?
Thanking you in anticipation...
Graham

it should be ready to go. when you unzipped your package from vbadvanced you should have uploaded a folder called "forum" and outside of the folder there was a file called cmps_index.php. you should haved edited that file w/ your forum path inside and uploaded that where you wanted your portal.
point your browser at that file and it should be there.
title image isnt a file. its the first line in your style manager image paths (below the three boxes). if your were using the default skin its looking for a imaged called > vbulletin3_logo_white.gif which is the stock vbulletin header. there is a varible in the header template that makes that image show. so if you wanted to change the logo you would just change that title image line to yourimage.gif and your logo would show w/o editing the header code.

Thanks for this information.
That all made sense, and getting onto the site is fine now - it's a big improvement over the standard vBulletin layout.
Sorry to bother you, but another couple of questions...
Every single link on my home page has now broken - when I click on a link, my browser tries to go to: http://www.myforumname.co.uk/forums/www.myforumname.co.uk/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar
Obviously, it's finding the domain name twice from somewhere, but I can't seem to workout where.
Anyone got any ideas?

try going to admin cp > cmps default settings. i one if the options you will see url settings. if you renamed the file from cmps_index.php to index.php then try somthink like /index.php in that setting.
and if you renamed your forum index.php (to to somthing else try the going to vboptions > site name / url / contact and make sure the urls to your forums are corect
then go to vboptions > forum home page options and in the first line you will see index by default. if you renamed your index for your forum home page you need to reflect it there.
im taking some guesses but i hope it helps.

Hi StuntFactory X
Thanks for that it's sorted now
Under vBulletin options - Site Name/URL/Contact Details, there's Forum IRL, I had "www.mydomainname.co.uk/forums", infact, all I needed was "forums"
All seems to be working OK now!
Cheers
Graham

you still have a issuse w/ your clear.gif (clear image used as a spacer) if you looking at in FF you might not see it. but in IE its shows a broken link box. that is in your vb options > style and language settings.
but i think it goes back to your forum paths in above settings because if you right click on the image its looking for its yourdomain.com/forum/forum/clear.gif
