Hey. I'm new to vbAdvanced, I was wondering if the side modules on vbAdvanced would show on the forums itself, and if the portal could be disabled (I need a left side panel for my forum, and could use the excellent modules you guys got for vBAdvanced). Thanks!

you could intergrate the modules and just leave the default page named cmps_index.php and use your current forum index.php

An update on this, when people visit any other page on CMPS, they get redirected to cmps_index.php in the breadcrumb. I'm only using CMPS for the modules, and not the portal, so cmps_index.php is empty. I was wondering how I could get them to redirect to the forums instead of cmps_index.php (forums are index.php).

Can you link me to a page on your site where you're having this problem?

Sure: http://verybigforum.com/cmps_index.php?page=affiliates

The easiest way to change that would probably be to just change your 'CMPS URL' setting to '/index.php'.

ok, maybe i'm just confused here, but i like using the homepage and the modules. i'd also like to use the module blocks IN my forums. is there a specific way to do that? or is that the whole "integration" bit from the ACP? because honestly, with that link above stating that with 3.0.x there is no need for yada yada, there really isn't a good explanation that I could find that tells you how to use the homepage [with modules] AND integrate modules with your forums...that's what i'm looking for...

Click on the "Integration" link in your admin cp and then follow the instructions there.

psssh...ok, well after some digging around, that integration sticky was some help [it did work], but something went wrong. the link it created on autopilot was wrong...i had to exclude the custom page i just made, then create my own link in the main nav section myself so it made the link correct. that's where i keep going wrong thinking i integrated incorrectly [i followed that verbatum btw]. that little hangup was driving me nuts until i figured out why.
