Heh, this is odd.
http://www.gothtopic.com/cmps_index.php
None of the icons loads apart from one. I have changed the path in the style manager twice, but the properties still say the same thing.
they are pointing to /images/icons/ instead of /forum/images/icon
I have run the install script to update the images 3 times, but with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated. I have tried everything. I think I may just have to upload all the icons to the server in that path. heh.
Regards,
Brian

In your main vBulletin options, check that your 'Show Default Icon' option is set to the full URL to the image. Even if it is, try saving your settings to be sure that the cache has updated. If that's not it let me know.

Hm, there is no 'show deafult icon' in the vb options. Mind telling me EXACTLY where it is?
Also, I just purchased the directory, but it tells me I dont own the licence for it. I have an email in my inbox from paypal saying otherwise ;) lol.
So, how do I download the software?

Sorry, it's 'Show Default Post Icon' listed under 'Thread Display Options'.
Did you purchase the links directory under this name? I'm not seeing anything in PayPal or the license system for the username 'laeth'. If you purchased it under another name, please let me know what it was. Otherwise please forward the PayPal email to "my name _at_ vbadvanced.com".

Acutally, it looks like you didn't update your image paths (Sorry, I thought you were still talking about the icons). You need to go into your style manager and change the path to each of your image directories to point to the full URL.
The links directory was purchased under your GTeam account... If you log in there you'll see the option to download it in the Member's Area.

If I do that, the icons dont load on my forum :(
edit: also, tried to download the software and got this:
GTeam, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
etc etc.
I have changed the licene settings. Anything else could be the problem?

Make sure you're setting them to "/forum/images/folder_name".
Hmm... For some reason your account wasn't updated completely. You should be able to download it now though. :)

Thanks. The download worked now.
On the matter of images. I have changed that path already, but the images still think the directory is /images
look this is what I set the directories too (attached).
But if you look at the site http://www.gothtopic.com/cmps_index.php
and right click properties on an red x, it's still linking to /images.
Why? I have ran the path install twice as well =\

Are you editing the right style?

Try using a full path
http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/buttons
for example

i'm editing the default style. I'm guesing this is the one I am meant to be editing.Rergarding the full URL, I cant do that, if you go to my forum and select the grey scale (if not default) you will see my images are already x'd out.
I dont know why.

I assume you figured this out?

nope. I just had to upload the whole of the image directory to the directory the script wanted the images to be.
More of a work around than a fix.
