Does vBadvanced CMPS news allow you to have mulitple news categories or just one category based on one allocated forum?

You can have numerous forums listed as News, just add the forum number seperated by a comma. I have 6 that show on my portal.

I think he is looking for the something similiar to what I was in an old thread. Have or more 2 different modules to cover specific user defined forums. And actually I would like the ability to specify particular threads - possibly a seperate module as well.

Thanks for all the responses so far.
What I am actually looking for is a way to use a VB in replace of programs like PHPnews (http://newsphp.sourceforge.net/) so the news archives, latest news etc are all generated from a set forum based on the threads in that forum.
It would also be good to have an option that defines a variable (using define in the ini file) to block out html using if/else forum components like the nav bar while reading the news.
Sorry if I've lost some of you here, hopefully somebody here is forum customisation junky enough to know what I'm on about.
For now I'm using PHPNews.
This is old,but I'm bumping this to see if any progress has been made in this direction.
