View Full Version : Footer & navbar commands relative to root, not /forums...

Not sure if I can explain this too good so follow with me.....

Create a new CMPS page and call it it test. Change the properties of the page so that unregsitered/not logged in users can't see it. Log out. Go to http://yoursite.com/index.php?page=test. You should be prompted with the full screen login page. What do you get after you try to login?

What's happening for me is that it puts me in a loop going back to the login page again. The problem seems to be that the login page is relative to "/forums" instead of "/" where my CMPS index is. The same goes for the various footer & navbar menus such as "Logout", etcetra (log in to your site, go to a CMPS page, choose "logout" from the bottom right hand-corner, what do you get?).

I figure the footer & navbar options could be changed in the header & footer templates of each of my styles but what about the automatic redirect (from the first example) from the CMPS page to the login page?

Try adding $vboptions[bburl] to all your links except those leading to the portal - this also includes any <form action="this bit also...

I figure that'll work for the navbar & footer stuff, since I can change them in the template, but I'm not seeing a solution for the automatic redirects (the problem I described with a CMPS test page). Is there someplace in the CMPS code or templates I could prefix the login redirect?

Thanks,
Kevin

I just noticed the same problem on my board.

However, I can successfully logout using the lower right logout link on the CMPS front page. It's only the "test" page as you described it above, that gives me trouble.

Brian: OK, that did it! :D I must've missed it when I did my first round of searches. By any chance is there a master listing somewhere of the various fixes since the initial 1.0.0 release?

apokalupsis: You'll want to make the change also if you've got any pages that you want to be security driven.
