update, i reuploaded all files, chmodded all files to 777. the install then seemed to work. now however i have another problem......

the forums appear in the module, however the main forums index is not there. here is the link :

for instance, type www.low-riders.com and you see the main page.
however, type www.low-riders.com/forums and you get nothing

or

click on "forums home" in the navagation module and you get nothing.

I'm guessing that you've replaced your default vB index.php file with something else. I'd recommend donwloading vB again, upload the index.php file there over your existing forums/index.php file, and see if that helps.

Brian,

I'm having the same problem but I didn't have one until I attempted integration.

After that, I get the same error message as stated above.

Invalid Page Specified

When I click on a link to one of my forums. I can click on the last thread showing but when I attempt to go back to the main forum the thread is in, I get the error too.

So, what did I break and how do I fix it?

Should I put in a ticket?

I still didn't get anything to integrate, and have posted my feelings on that in a more relevant thread to the itegration issue.

Did you delete the page that you used to integrate your vB forums with? Either way, just go back to the "Integration" link in the Admin CP. Continue through there even if you don't change anything so that it can properly update the plugin and that should take care of the problem.

Yes, I did delete the "new module" in the vbadvanced admin cp if that is what you are asking.

Continue through what? I have a Computer tech that has even looked at all the threads on this subject and he laughed and said he wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole because even he couldn't understand what the heck everyone was talking about.

Click the "Integration" link in the Admin CP. Continue through by clicking the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page, and then the "Save" button on the next page.

nah, pretty much fixed now.

uninstalled vbadvanced and later when the tech guy comes home, he will either get things set up again or I'll be so ticked by then that I will just get my main url directed to my forums and not even bother with vbadvanced.

Hi,

sorry for the trouble but I do have something similar as the thread starter. but i hope to make it easier by providing versions so that the relevant people can solve it easier

VB - 3.5.4
vbadvance - 2.1.0

I have followed the instructions in the download but is it because of the version issue? last time the instructions i think were a bit different. someone please kindly advice?

Your site seems to be working fine for me, so I'm assuming you were able to figure out the problem?
