Select Specific Threads For Frontpage

Is there an option with vBadvanced to select certain threads to appear on the front page to appear as news. Or do all 'featured threads' have to appear in one forum?

sorry i think you mis-understood.

When posting a new thread or post in the forum, is there an option to have it featured on the frontpage, that only an admin can do?

For example on the frontpage, i would like 'featured' chosen topics to be shown on the frontpage as well as the news from a forum.

Yes, as I said when you configure the module on the page (only an admin can configure a page), you can specify that the module should only pull a certain thread or threads. This may be done for the Current Poll, Feature Story, News, and Recent Threads modules that come with CMPS V3.0. You can't do it on the page that you create the thread though, you have to do it in AdminCP.

There is an "Edit Threads" link within the settings for your news module. Click it, browse, and select your threads. ;)
