Hi all,
I recently installed CMPS V3.0 onto our board v3.6.4. We've created a page to display content on, once module being to show current poll.
Only problem is, it is displaying the poll that has been created in the Team Room to all usergroups.
Stand alone threads don't seem to be viewable to standard members when the log in, only to Admin or Mods but the poll (which is private) does.
Is this something that has been overlooked in the development or are we as Admins just being silly with our settings?
Thanks in advance...

Do other members have permission to view the threads in those forums (not the content, but at least the titles)? If so, then that would be why it's displaying them. If not, you may want to edit the module through the Admin CP to make sure that the "Apply Forum Permissions" setting and "Initialize Forum Permissions" options are turned on for that module.

Brian,
Other members have no permissions to view the team section at all, so as far as they're concerned it doesn't exist.
I've gone into the module and it says it is set to take forum permissions into account, so they should only see threads for which they have permission to. I've not been able to find "initialize Forum Permissions" that you talk about though?
Standard threads from the team room are not displayed, and when looking at the poll on the CMPS page, if you click it, it states that you dont have permission to view, but still lets you see an overview of the poll from said page.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Are you running v3.0, or 2.2.1? If you're running v3.0 then you should see the "Initialize Forum Permissions" near the top under the "PHP File Module Options" section.
Can you post a link to your site as well so I can have a look at some things?

It's version 3 as far as I'm aware, downloaded from Vbadvanced programs/script area. I've found Initialise forum permissions for the current poll module and that is also set correctly.
Our site is:
www.crazy-gangs-rollercoasters.net/forums
the CMPS page we have setup is:
http://www.crazy-gangs-rollercoasters.net/forums/cmps_index.php?pageid=home
The current poll is in the left pane, but the team room one isnt forced to display as it isn't the most recently voted atm (the poll that users shouldnt be able to see, as it resides in the team room is the "Ban Hail All" poll.
You can login with this test account, which is standard user level:
acc: testuser
pass: test
hmmm, seem to be testing this again now and it seems to be working? Under my admin account the poll displays but under the test account, a different poll shows. Odd.

I'm not sure why it would suddenly start working again if there was a problem before. I'll assume there was some quirk that was causing it unless I hear back from you though.

It seems to have started working after I'd updated user titles and ranks in Admin CP.

Brian,
We've just upgraded to vbulletin 3.6.7 and re-installed the CMPS and this problem has happened again. However, if you update user titles and ranks in admin cp, it fixes it, so is this a bug in the software?

I don't see any way that updating user titles/ranks would have an affect on the poll module... If that is, then I would say it sounds more like there was some kind of problem with your usergroups, perhaps from another hack.
