View Full Version : Only able to integrate 1 page

I just upgraded to vba 3 and now I'm having major problems integrating files/pages. When I go to the integration section within CP I have my forum index listed as the only integrated page. I go through the process of adding a page to integrate with any of my files. When I return to the CP this latest file is listed as the only file integrated. If I delete it then I lose everything that was integrated.
The other problem occurring is when I try to integrate with forumdisplay to get a side navigation bar like my forum home page, it locks out all of the forumdisplay pages. Similar problem when trying to apply integration to showthread, except instead of showing no content it fails to load any CSS, so there's no formatting at all. Just grasping at straws here, but could there be a conflict with my vbseo rewrite? Everything worked fine when running vba 2.x
BTW, running vb 3.6.4 (patched) and vbseo 3.0 rc8

I don't see how the first problem would occur... Were you integrating vB filenames, THIS_SCRIPT constants, or custom filenames? Have you tried the integration again to see if you get the same result?
The other problem with the CSS and such is from vBSEO, and we are hoping we can make some changes in the next release so vBSEO will not be able to cause that problem.

I tried it multiple times and always get the same result. I'll have to try it again building everything from scratch.
For the vbseo css problem I'll check over at their forum to see if they have anything to patch this. Otherwise I'll just convert back to v2 for now.
Thanks,
Ken

I am facing the same problem
B4 with 2.x version, we had the left navigation running through most of my forum pages which we did adding the code to the php files.
Now when upgrading it was stated that i can do the same by plugin. Is there any plugin available as such as i need to have the custom left panel(which was possible in 2.x) in all my pages.
Any idea?
or can it be done by adding teh code back again? as we did in 2.x?
it was a really nice addon infact.

Ken - If you have the same problem when you try to integrate agian and would like to submit a support ticket via the Member's Area here I'll be glad to take a look at things for you.
poprulz - Sounds like you just need to click the "Integration" link in your Admin CP and follow the steps there.

Thanks Brian, I think I actually figured out a fix which is now making vbseo play nicely with vBa 3. I posted the steps in this other thread:

I'm still experiencing an oddity where only one set of integrated pages will be shown in the CP, but its no big deal right now.

Hi.
I'm facing the problem where I can only integrate one page and if I try to add another page, the last one disappears. :S
Any ideas how to fix this?

Are you integrating using the filenames from the select box? If so, make sure that you're holding down the 'Ctrl' key when selecting new files with your mouse. Otherwise, anything that was selected before will be de-selected when you choose another filename.

Hi,
Well, the first time I integrated a page it worked fine. When I wanted to integrate another page with different title and so on, I just repeated the process of creating a new page, and integrating that new page with another script.
Isn't that the right way? Or should I integrate all my scripts using only one page?

If you want to use the same modules and settings for the other files you wish to integrate, then you can use the same page as many times as you would like. If you want any of those files to have different modules, a different layout, or different values for the settings, then you would need to create a new CMPS page to use for the integration for those.

That's when I have this problem. If I create another page, and integrate it with other scripts, the previous one will get deleted.

Are you making sure to hold down the 'Ctrl' key while selecting new filenames? If you don't, that would de-select any previously selected filenames and the result would be exactly what you're describing.

Ok, same problemo. For example, I have a different page for both the Forum Index and the forum display.
However it seems that if will only let us integrate one page for both using this method.
The first image I attached is what I get regardless of what page I choose for my index. The second shot is what I am trying to acheive. Regardless of what I do it resets to the first image.
Brian, the new VBA rocks btw :)
