Upgrade from VBPortal 2.3

How hard is it to upgrade from VBPortal 2.3???

Looking for a description of the process, before I purchase VBa...

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "upgrade from"... They're two totally different scripts, so there is nothing to upgrade from vBportal. You should just install the CMPS / Homepage, set the options as you would like, and then un-install vBportal.

I am only concerned about making sure my Vbulletin based messages are saved when updrading to VBa...

I'm not sure if VBPOrtal modifies anything that will keep these messages from being transferred...

some of the vbportal specific items, such as the dictionary or articles will be lost when you remove it, however posts made to your vBulletin forum(s) will remain during both uninstall of vbPortal and install of vBadvanced.

When in doubt, be sure to make a backup of your database - and a backup of your entire site couldnt hurt either.
