View Full Version : vBa Dynamics Now Publicly Available!
If you're familiar with PHP a little then I'm sure it would be possible to pre-fill custom fields based on a user's profile info. It would require creating a custom plugin to set the values and such though.
Thanks, that's handy to know :)
Replied to your PM. ;)
Cheers, sent you another :D

Hmmm...this seems like it has more features than the one being offered by vbulletin. Can someone confirm? What are the biggest differences? I'm very close to buying...I think I just need a little "nudge" as I'm not 100% certain which way to go.

Raze - Replied. ;)
apokalupsis - I haven't really seen vB's blog other than a bit of the user side as a guest. From what I've heard, vBa Dynamics does have more features and options. vB's blog is geared more towards being a blog system, while vBa Dynamics is a more versitile product that offers a lot of the common features you would expect from a blog (and probably a few dozen other types of software). From what I've seen on their demo, vBa Dynamics does offer most of the main features vB's blog does. Of course they are different, so there are a few features they offer which we do not, and vice versa. Pingbacks is really about the only notable feature that vB offers that we do not from what I've seen though. The other biggest difference is of course the layout and design of each product. Some people prefer vB's look to ours, and vice versa. At some point, hopefully not too far in the future, we will probably include a way for admins to use a "cleaner" style for the view entry page that would look more some of the simpler layouts that's common in some blogs or article systems.
That's about everything I can tell you as far as the differences. I might suggest starting a new thread in the vBa Dynamics pre-sales forum here though as that might be more obvious to other members and allow you to get some feedback from those who are using both.

vBa Dynamics does not have anything like that really. I was thinking vBulletin already had something similar with it's usergroup and join request functions, though I haven't really used those features... Is that not about how they work?
If there's a good system in that other sofware and you can dig up the link I'll be glad to take a look and see if they have some features that could be worked into our product.
MySocialSpace from madebymary has this feature. I would love to see vBa Dynamics have that feature as well.
