As I have mentioned before, I have vBlogetin installed on my flooring site (thefloorpro.com). I am very happy to be one of the first buyers of vBa Dynamics. I asked about this some time back in another forum, but wanted to bring it up here in the Pre-Sale Questions forum.

Is there a conversion script to import vBlogetin data, especially the blogs, entries and comments, into the vBa Dynamics product? I don't have very much data to convert, but it sure would be nice if I could keep the blogs some of my members have contributed.

Thanks,

Jim

Currently we do not have an import script for vBlogetin as we have not yet had any requests for one. If you would like to submit a support ticket though I will be more than happy to create one for you as vBlogetin was already on the list of import scripts I'd like to create. I've never seen a copy of the product though, so I would need for someone to allow me to have access to their server and database before I could begin. If you wouldn't mind doing that, I'm sure I could have it taken care of for you by the weekend.

Thanks, Brian. I'll get a PM off to you as soon as I can, considering the server is kinda taxed right now.

Instead of a PM, please just submit a support ticket. That way all sensitive information such as passwords are removed from our server once the ticket is closed. ;)

I've got a pretty well developed vBlogetin component on my fishing site too, so I would also be interested in the possibility of a way to move over.

I also have a lot of articles on my site using the Geek Article system. I would be interested to know if there is a way to import those articles into a vBa Dynamics system as well. Thanks.

Very sorry, I already sent the PM. But you can delete it now because I just submitted a ticket. I shoulda known better.

ncangler - If you'd like to submit a support ticket as well I'll be glad to run the import script for you once it's created and take care of that for you if you wouldn't mind. I'd rather have the chance to test it out on a few sites before releasing it publicly just to be sure I don't miss anything.

Jim - No worries, I'll delete that PM from you. I just always try to be cautious not to keep sensitive info like that on the server just incase.
