Hmm, I have an odd problem.

Smilies show up in the editor, but not in the actual post when submitted. I have smilies enabled in posts.

Any clues?

Is this when submitting an entry or a reply? Can you link me to a page where you're experiencing this problem?

Submitting an entry.

Replies are fine and the smilies are shown.

They seem to be working fine for me as a guest. Do you perhaps have images disabled in your User CP (disabling images there would affect vBa Dynamics as well)? Or have you perhaps figured it out since your post? Or am I just missing something?

This is really odd.

I have images both inline etc enabled in my user cp, but when logged in I cannot see the smilies in the entry but I can in the reply.

If I log out, I can see the smilies in both.

I have cleared my cookies and re-logged in but it is the same, so its not a corrupt cookie error.

I have just logged in as a different user and the same issue as above, so its not user specific, it looks like it is only when logged in.

Strange... Could I get you to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here so I can have a look at things?

Brian, I'm having pretty much the same thing on my end and with image bbcode too. I have it all enabled with the category; what have I overlooked?

It looks like those images are not being parsed properly for some reason... Would you mind submitting a support ticket so I can have a look at things and figure out what's causing it?

What error messages are you receiving?

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.8:

Invalid SQL:

INSERT INTO adv_dyna_entrypublish
(entryid, pubdateline)
VALUES (
0,
1188816000
);

MySQL Error : Duplicate entry '0' for key 1
Error Number : 1062
This is the type of error I'm getting without updating the new summit entry and three of smiles are with (X).

There shouldn't be any way you would get that SQL error... Are you trying to save entries as a draft with a specific publishing date when you do, or does that happen any time you try to submit an entry, even if it is not a draft?

For the smilies, please see this thread (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1345).

Thanks Brian your suggestions fix the problem. Now I get to see how to fix the broken smilies if I can do it base on the thread you furnish.
I will keep you posted.

I try all the information you provide in that thread but, it didn't do it for me.
Any other suggestions or assistance will really appreciate.

I already fix that. Smilies is the problem now I get 4 smilies with an (X). Information you provided is not fixing the problems. It needs to be fixed. Can you look into this problem for me?

Thanks

Updating Smilies & Icons Manually:
Log into your Admin CP, go to your Smilie Manager and Icon Manager, and add the full URL to each image listed in those sections.

WOW!! I get it.
The URL is the magician it fixed it, and I only add URL to the 4 smilies with the (X) and they come back to life.
I'm glad you push me to do this by myself. I'm learning the trade and I loving it.

Thanks Brian for your courage and leadership.
