When I add a category, I get this message:
"You have used 0 out of Unlimited categories allowed. You do not currently have any categories".

But I have a category, it just waiting to be approved.

I think the message should be something like this:

"You have 1 out of Unlimited Categories allowed. Your category
is currently waiting for approval".

or perhaps

"You have 4 out of 10 Categories allowed. 3 of your categories
is currently waiting for approval".

Good idea. I'll see if I can get that changed with the next release so that it will show how many of your categories are awaiting moderation if applicable.

Brian, are you sure the category manager works at all?
I can see in my category manager that I have still 0 categories,
even though I have one with a couple of entries.

I must not have been thinking at first... I went back to take a look at the code, but it will already include categories that are awaiting moderation and show an 'Awaiting Moderation' note next to any categories that have not yet been validated.

Admin CP => vBa Dynamics => Modify Settings => User Category Options => Allow Users to Create Categories

Sounds more like you have that option set to 'Yes (User does NOT own the category)'. When it's set that way, it will not record the userid for the category or show them in the Category Manager since the user does not own the category.

Thanks, that was the problem.

I had played with the settings, and indeed this is a huge script to learn :D
