Looking for a module dat put a VB announcement on a page, like a news item.
Why? We have a club website with usergroups. The usergroups have there own page (like: adv_index.php?page=usergroup1) with there own news, latest topics en Poll and also links but that stil is not in the page settings (waiting for Brian :D ) So far great but a problem!
In de middle top there is a welcome box with info about the usergroup, I did that with a template. That works. But the problem is that de usergroup members would like to change it by them self.. Now I must do it everytime with the template :(
So why not put there the VB Announcement of there forum? They can do it all by them self! So I am looking for that, with VB Announcement id setting in CMPS admin and also how big I want that box (bigger then the normal news what is standing under it) So Brian something for the new version?
CMPS does with news forum, polls, hopefull links also why not with VB Announcement ?
But can't wait for the new version(if it get it) so anybody body have a idea?? Please!
Utilizing the already existing VBAnnouncement functionality would be a wonderful thing for a module. Especially if you could preserve the permissions involved with who is supposed to see it. I would love to see this get done as well.

Anouncement under the dhtml popup
Is that pulled from the Annoucement Functionality built into vBulletin?
I'm not sure this is what you're talking about, but...
A few days ago I made a module that would pull announcements posted in a certain forum (or multiple forums) for my staff depending on what usergroup they are in.

Anouncement under the dhtml popup
If it is realy a VB Announcement and not a template then that is wat I looking for. But the height must be 2-3 times bigger en would like te have a scrollbar when the text don't fit in the screen.
Thanks so far!
Have you released that Hack Shon? That sounds like what I am looking for.
The DHTML popup hack by Logician is what it looks like chuckie is using for the blinding green popup, and it looks like the "announcement" block he has for unregistered users is one of several similair hacks. It didn't look to me like it was pulling the content of that block from the announcement functionality built into VB

pdatotaal: Although it's not exactly what you are looking for, it is very easy to use it the way you want to use it. I'm using it the way you are wanting to use it... let me know if you can't figure it out :)
